After almost 15 years in the engineering space, I feel very lucky to still be working on projects that keep me incredibly interested, busy and motivated.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across several sectors in the industry, including skill-building in roles such as a Process Engineer, Project and Operation Support Engineer and a Reliability Engineer – just to name a few.
Since coming to Verbrec five years ago initially as a Project Engineer, I’ve been able to see the industry and the company across different realms through new and innovative projects that are constantly underway.
What’s unique about working at Verbrec that you wouldn’t find anywhere else is the complete service offering across the delivery of a project. From concept and feasibility with our engineering team to detailed design, ownership and operation, and all the way through to decommissioning, it’s a rare opportunity to engage in the full lifecycle of an asset across so many services.
In my role as a Development Engineer in Infrastructure Services, I’ve been able to truly appreciate the broader opportunities I’ve found at Verbrec to work on any area or project that interests me. And as an engineer with a passion for problem-solving and finding solutions, I often find myself chasing these exciting projects.
As I continue to grow in my career, I am continually learning, uncovering new pathways, gaining experience and knowledge, and better understanding the Australian standards in their relevant areas.
I’m lucky to have the chance to be challenged in my work, to have such a high level of job satisfaction, and to experience such a rich career in an industry and a company that I’m proud of.
