KMT Major Maintenance Campaign

Scope
Verbrec’s role in Stage 1 of the project was to develop scope books and scope packs for the Kumul Marine Terminal (KMT) Major Maintenance Campaign (MMC) Tender Inquiry for high-priority assets. Oil Search subsequently also asked us to deliver continuation works for Stage 2 (medium-priority) and Stage 3 (low-priority) scope packs.
Project Summary

The scope of works covered developing scope books and scope packs for high-priority groups, covering the following activities:

  • preparing a collection of scope books and associated scope packs to a FEED level of development, to enable Oil Search to hand over to an EPC contractor to tender detailed engineering (where required), procurement, implementation and commissioning
  • developing a FEED Class 3 final investment decision (FID) cost estimate for ‘known’ scope items.

Following the successful completion of the initial scope of works, Verbrec was further engaged to provide similar services for the medium- and low-priority scope packs for 10 scope books.
