Motu Fuel Supply Pipeline

Engineering and procurement of an offshore and onshore fuel supply pipeline
Project Summary

Verbrec provided engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services to Pacific Islands Energy for the Motu Fuel Supply Pipeline.

The pipeline is DN300, API 5L Grade B carbon steel material designed in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS 2885.1:2018 (Pipelines – Gas and liquid petroleum).

The pipeline scope commences at the flange connection to a flexible unloading hose at a PLEM located in Bootless Bay, PNG. It runs on the sea floor for a length of approximately 4 km and then runs as a 7.5 km buried pipeline from the shore, crossing up to the connection to the PEAL receiving manifold at the Jackson International Airport Bulk Liquids Storage Facility.

The scope is being delivered in four separable portions:

  • Concept Design
  • End Engineering & Design (FEED) and Environmental Approvals
  • Detailed Design
  • Procurement Management
