In a significant commitment to enable a sustainable future for its clients, Verbrec has appointed Dr. Tim Johnson as its new Energy Transition General Manager.
Dr. Tim Johnson has over 40 years’ global experience in various scientific, technical, engineering, and management roles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Johnson has been instrumental in driving cultural shifts as utilities transitioned to independent power companies in the UK and Europe. His expertise includes advising on new technology, operational improvements, and risk management strategies to meet commercial goals while minimizing environmental impact.
In recent years, he has been heavily involved in many Project Director and Peer Review roles for feasibility and due diligence studies on fossil fuel fired and renewable energy power plant projects as well as electricity and gas transmission systems worldwide. His experience also includes leadership roles in owner’s and lenders’ engineering services, demonstrating his extensive understanding of the industry.
Dr. Johnson has joined Verbrec’s Executive Leadership Team. His focus will be on working with the broader business to develop strategies that support the company’s transition towards renewable energy solutions.
In this role, he will evaluate emerging technologies, lead initiatives to establish key partnerships, and conduct studies aimed at positioning Verbrec competitively within the evolving Energy Transition market.
