We are thrilled to announce that our Infrastructure team has been awarded the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Contract for the Cape Preston Gas Pipeline (CPGP), located in Cape Preston, Karratha, Western Australia.

What’s Involved?

Our team is tasked with delivering comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the 14-kilometer CPGP, extending from the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBGP) tie-in to the Cape Preston Mine cogeneration plant. This vital pipeline powers the Cape Preston Mine and plays a crucial role for CITIC Pacific Mining.

Our Commitment

Through this O&M contract, we will provide CITIC Pacific Mining with operational assurance and ensure pipeline integrity through continuous performance monitoring and Right of Way surveillance.

A Milestone in Our Journey

“The commencement of operations for the Cape Preston Gas Pipeline (PL77) marks a significant milestone for our Verbrec Infrastructure Services team. We have a long-standing history with this pipeline, having designed and constructed it back in 2008 under OSD. Now, we are honored to take on the role of the nominated operator for the next five years,” said, Jarrod Woolnough, General Manager – Infrastructure services.

“This achievement not only solidifies our commitment to the Cape Preston Gas Pipeline but also positions us strategically to pursue further opportunities. With numerous pipelines in Western Australia owned by major mining companies, we are well-prepared to bid on future projects.”

We are excited about the successful execution of this contract and remain dedicated to our legacy of delivering high-quality infrastructure services.
