As part of environmental compliance requirements to reduce the risk of contaminated stormwater entering waterways, Incitec Pivot Ltd designed a new DN450 HDPE pipeline from a stormwater pit to the collection pond.
The design included an upgrade to the the existing pump discharge PVC piping arrangements, a 117 m buried portion and 250 m above-ground portion of HDPE pipeline that discharges into an existing pond.
Verbrec completed the pipeline RPEQ design verification against the applicable Australian Standards for HDPE and water services. Design and pipeline construction good practice recommendations were provided in December 2019 to ensure construction could be completed prior to the start of the Brisbane storm season.
