Tasmanian Gas Pipeline O&M

Scope

Running from the Longford gas compressor station in Victoria, to Bridgewater receiver station outside of Hobart, the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline (TGP) is a 749km pipeline network including 343km of buried and sub-sea pipeline crossing the Bass Strait.

Project Summary

The pipeline supplies gas to industry, electricity generators, large commercial operators and domestic users throughout Tasmania.

Verbrec was responsible for managing the TGP and its overall operation.  It was also the Facility Operator for the offshore section under the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority’s (NOPSEMA) jurisdiction.  Verbrec’s approach was to focus on compliance and efficiency.  This ensures regulatory obligations are met and service delivery standards to customers are maintained at optimised cost
