Verbrec Secures 5-Year Extension for Roma Gas Pipeline Operations with Leading Australian Energy provider

In line with Verbrec’s 2024 strategic plan focusing on cultivating enduring client relationships, Verbrec Infrastructure Services has been awarded a five-year extension to operate and maintain the Roma Gas Pipeline (RGP), reinforcing its commitment to providing sustainable and reliable service to our clients.

The Roma Gas Pipeline, a transmission pipeline located in central Queensland, boasts a nameplate rating of 19.2 TJ per day and features two key delivery points: the Roma Power Station Offtake and the Roma Township Offtake. This critical infrastructure plays a pivotal role in powering the region and supporting its energy needs.

Scope of Work

In securing the contract extension, Verbrec commits to a comprehensive scope of work, including:

  • Supply of Personnel Based in Dalby: Ensuring a skilled and dedicated workforce is available locally to meet the operational needs of the pipeline.
  • Development of Asset Management Plans: Creating and maintaining detailed plans to optimise the performance and lifespan of the pipeline assets.
  • Operations and Scheduled Maintenance: Conducting regular operations and maintenance activities to ensure the pipeline’s smooth and safe operation.
  • Emergency Response Services: Providing immediate and effective response in case of emergencies to minimise downtime and ensure safety.
  • Inventory Management: Managing the inventory to ensure all necessary components and materials are available when needed.
  • Public Liaison and Pipeline Awareness: Engaging with the public and stakeholders to raise awareness about pipeline operations and safety measures.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensuring all operations meet regulatory requirements and maintaining transparent reporting practices.
